Request……Grilled Top Sirloin topped with some of my Farmer’s Market finds. Sauteed Bell Pepper, Shallots and Garlic. Mix of colorful New Potatoes.

peppersncow1
Pepper Topper
In a medium Skillet melt 1 Tablespoon or more Butter (Yes, BUTTER)
Thinly slice 1 Green Pepper (Bell)
4-6 Shallots, mine were from the Farmer’s Market so they still had all that beautiful long green stalk attached. Use it
2-3 or more rough chopped cloves of Garlic.
Throw it in the melted butter and breathe. Doesn’t that just smell glorious and make you instantly hungry?
Now you can place a lid on it and let it simmer on low. Stirring occasionally.

Roasted New Potatoes
Ok, I am sure you have this recipe memorized. The Potatoes are looking so good at the Farmer’s Market I just can’t help it.
The red ones are red inside out, same with the purple and the yellow. Why have plain everyday potatoes when you can have these colorful sweet, flavorful ones?
Preheat oven 400 degrees(F)
Cut into bite size pieces
Toss in Olive Oil
Sprinkle with Simply Greek Potato and Veg blend (Simplygreekfoods.com)
Short on time or waiting for the oven to heat up or both. Put the Potatoes in a skillet, place a lid on the skillet and par cook on the stove first. Take the lid off, they will be soft. I like mine to have a bit of a crunch on the outside so mix them around and place in the oven mixing them after about 5 minutes or so. Til you are happy with the crunch.

Grilled Top Sirloin
Next heat up your Grill or Grill Pan. I used a Grill Pan heated to level 6 on an Electric Stove.
The meat choice for this dish is good quality Top Sirloin. Lean n tender.
Season meat lightly remember that wonderful Pepper Topper is to be placed on the finished Steak. I have found if you cook one side then turn it over and repeat that you will get nice grill marks. Once it looks the way you want, turn off heat and let sit for about 10 minute while you are getting everything else ready to eat.

YUM…….Enjoy……til tomorrow

Can't wait to hear from you
