Tabatchnik soups? They can be found in the freezer department at your local market. I had their Tuscany Lentil last night. Oh my, was it good. Almost as good as mine. They have a number of soups. From Split Pea, Tomato Basil with rice….and more. Nutritious, delicious, and a lot less sodium than canned soups.┬áTheir portions are perfect. What can I say? You should give them a try.

Thank you

To the Giant across from George Mason. Freddie you rock! Anthony you are a teacher. I went to grab some balloons for a friend. Wonderful Freddie had never had the opportunity to prepare a balloon bouquet. Anthony took the time to show him. And I left with a smile and a beautiful gift.

Whether you live in Fairfax or have just relocated to the area. I would like to share a wonderful business and person.
The business is Personal Touch Jeweler. The proprietor is John Espisito.
He and his spectacular staff are patient, creative and extremely knowledgeable. No matter the need. Whether it be a cleaning, a repair, an appraisal for all the various reasons you might need or want one.
And of course most important a custom design. John is your man!

Went to see the Discovery at its new home, at the Air and Space Museum.
Had lunch at Dogfish Alehouse in Fairfax. Spectacular service and good food. I had the Ahi Tuna sandwich. Served with a Wasabi mayo and beach fries. I can’t say enough about the service. Just a surprisingly good experience. Go to to find one near you.
I then took a trip to my local Trader Joe’s. I love artichokes and have been disappointed with the ones in the supermarkets. Well it was worth the wait! Trader Joe’s has globe artichokes. The size of a grapefruit for $1.29.
I of course then came home and steamed an artichoke. Served with a simple dipping sauce of Kraft olive oil mayo and Simply Greek salad mix. This terrific Greek herb blend can be found at Along with many other spice blends, olive oils, and gift sets. If you love the fresh flavors of Greek/Mediterranean dishes. Simply Greek foods is the site to shop at.

It’s time to go and find a Farmer’s Market. One of mine will be the Burke,Virginia market saturdays from 8am to noon. Starting May 5th.
Details to follow.
